What Is a Sensitivity Matcher?
A Sensitivity Matcher is an advanced mathematical tool designed for gamers to port their perfect aim settings from one First-Person Shooter (FPS) to another. Because every game engine—whether it's Source, Unreal Engine, or Unity—calculates mouse input differently, copying your sensitivity number directly from CS2 to Valorant or Apex Legends will result in completely different physical movements. Our Cross-Game Aim Converter solves this by using exact engine Yaw values to match your precise physical cm/360.
How Sensitivity Conversion Works
Behind the scenes, sensitivity conversion is purely math. Every game uses a variable called Yaw. The yaw determines how many degrees your character's view rotates for every "dot" or "count" your mouse sends to the computer.
For example, the Source engine (used in CS2 and Apex Legends) has a default yaw of 0.022. Valorant uses a modified Unreal Engine input system resulting in a yaw of 0.07. To match them, the formula is simple: (Source Sens × Source Yaw) ÷ Target Yaw = Target SensOur sensitivity matcher automates this, incorporating your Mouse DPI into the equation to allow conversions even when upgrading your hardware.
What is eDPI?
Effective Dots Per Inch (eDPI) normalizes sensitivities. If Player A plays on 400 DPI and 2.0 Sens (800 eDPI), and Player B plays on 800 DPI and 1.0 Sens (800 eDPI), their physical sensitivity is identical. It's the best way to compare settings within the same game.
What is cm/360?
Centimeters per 360 is the physical distance your mouse travels to do a full rotation in-game. It is the absolute gold standard metric. If your cm/360 is 35cm in CS2 and 35cm in Valorant, your raw physical muscle memory is perfectly preserved.
Why FPS Players Need It
- Muscle Memory Preservation: You've spent thousands of hours training your flick shots. Don't throw that away when playing a new game.
- Instant Comfort: Instead of spending 3 hours in the firing range guessing your sensitivity, a converter gets you match-ready in 5 seconds.
- Hardware Upgrades: Changing from a heavy 400 DPI mouse to a modern lightweight 1600 DPI mouse requires exact conversion to feel identical.
Best Sensitivity Tips & Common Mistakes
Warning: FOV Alters Perception
Even with a mathematically perfect conversion, a game with 120 FOV will feel "slower" than a game with 90 FOV because the objects in the center of the screen are smaller and take less screen space to track. Trust the math, but allow yourself 15 minutes of gameplay to adjust visually.
A common mistake beginners make is using excessively high sensitivities. While high sensitivities look flashy, consistency is born from lower sensitivities. Most professional tactical shooter players (CS2, Valorant) use a sensitivity ranging between 30cm/360 and 60cm/360. Tracking heavy games (Apex Legends, Overwatch) favor 25cm/360 to 45cm/360.
